Another Great Blue Heron. I never thought that I could get this close to the bird. He was right behind a man fishing on the dock, hoping to get a fish I guess. It was still really cold.

One of the best avian images I've ever seen, bar none. Outstanding technically, with a great background. I can't see a thing to improve upon or change. You owe it to yourself to get a print made of this one.

Thanks a lot. I was happy to find this one. I am glad it didn't get scared and fly away. And the background was the floor of a dock, so I was hoping it wouldn't be too distracing.

I just love the colors on this, it almost has that desaturated feel with the just the beak and eyes in color. Great detail too.
